Talnet International - Revital 09 - About the project

Talnet International - Revital 09 is an international youth activity for participants from Czechia - Talnet, Germany - Kubus, Spain - Estrella and Slovakia – Mladí prírodovedci.

The project is financed by the Czech National Youth Agency from program Youth in Action.

The project’s main topic is the environment and its changes (especially energy, air and soil pollution). However, we can’t forget the European topics which touch our life in common Europe. The ecological topic provides a good basis for connecting the interests of the participants and with the European hot issues and common problems.

The project lasts from March to June 2009 but there are four different parts according to the activity of participants:

Preparatory meeting of national coordinators in Prague (6th – 8th March 2009)
Online activities in TintSpace (1st April – 25th May 2009 - requiring about 2 hours per week)
Face to face meeting 3 days in Czechia and 4 days in High Tatras Mountains in Slovakia (26. 5. - 1. 6. 2009)
Online final activities (from the end of May till the end of June 2009 - requiring about 2 hours per week)

During the online part the participants can join a 'mini' course concerning ecological topic or participate in different online activities related to our life in common Europe.

One of the main items in the program of the face to face meeting is the visit of strip mines, revitalized areas and old shaft museum in Mostecko.

The project Revital 09 is a second international activity organised by Talnet. Last year, in spring 2008, a project called Talnet International took place. During the online part youth could join a 'mini' robotics course or participate in online activities concerning the life in common Europe. One of the main points of the face to face meeting was the visit at DLR (German aerospace center) and its School Labs in Oberpfaffenhoffen near Munich.
